Another blog, another passion

This adds to my long list of blogs...but I think this blog is important for my soul and my waistline. You see, I have begun a journey to a healthier me, cutting my calories, working out, surrendering old habits, all in the pursuit of losing 92 lbs. off my 5' 4" frame. You can see my progress on my weightloss blog here. I have discovered, along the way, that I have traded my snacking habits for voracious reading. I have always loved books. They send me to a happy place and reveal the hearts of men to me (my own heart not withstanding). But this current book fest I have been on can only be the side effect of finding other ways to nourish myself than fat, calories, sugar and treats. I thought I would chronicle this part of my journey to wellness here. So read on, those who love books, or those who are just sweet friends who like to keep in touch with my wacky ways. I hope I can inspire you to pick up a few good pages of a good story and put down those potato chips...bon appetite.

Bibliophiles RULE!!!! I think that is why we are filling our children's education with rich literature. I will check often.

I don't make the time to read much, and when I do its usually research related. I do however, listen to books on CD often. Its the one way I can 'read' and yet still do other things.

I have started buying Julia the Illustrated Classics series at the thriftstore, and it is so exciting to see her joy of reading explode.
